Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) Code Plugin Open

We want a Blueprint callable code plug-in to support our DLC (Downloadable Content) work-flow. We want to be able to package individual maps that can be downloaded and used by our customers.

The engine level plug-in should allow Blueprints to mount (and unmount) .pak files and integrate their contents with the asset registry so we can load new maps in the normal way.

The deliverables should be three UE4 4.18 projects:

1) A project containing the C++ plug-in code.

2) A test project containing a single very simple map. The plug-in is installed at engine level and is enabled for this project.

3) Another test project containing two very simple maps called 'Red' and 'Blue'. These are packaged to two separate pak files.

The first test project will have a level blueprint that responds to the 'R' key and the 'B' key. Pressing the 'R' key mounts the Red pak file and loads the Red map. Pressing the 'B' mounts the Blue pak file and loads the Red map.

The code plug-in and example blueprints should be flexible enough to detect if the requested pak and/or assets are already mounted and/or loaded so they are not loaded again.
